Welcome to Concert Week! This is where all of our hard work so far comes together! So far things have been going great in rehearsals and I can't wait to hear the final result on Thursday night! Below is a schedule of events for this week:
Tuesday 12/9 - 7th and 8th Grade Band Rehearsal until 3:40
Wednesday 12/10 - 6th Grade Band Rehearsal until 3:40
Thursday 12/11 - CONCERT DAY!!!
4th Block 1:05-1:47 - 6th Grade Band will rehearse
4th Block 1:47-2:30 - 7th and 8th Grade Band will rehearse
(PASSES TO GET OUT OF CLASS WILL BE GIVEN OUT DURING LUNCH ON THURSDAY)
CONCERT NIGHT - Report time is 6:30 for all members. Concert starts at 7:00. All band members will report to the band room to assemble instruments and tune up. 6th Grade will perform first while 7th/8th Grade waits in Mr. Belskis' room. After 6th Grade is done, they will be allowed to join their parents for the rest of the concert. Choir will perform after 6th Grade and then 7th and 8th Grade Band will finish out the concert. The whole concert should be over by 8:00.
DRESS CODE:
Guys: Khakis or dress pants. Collared shirt (polo or button down). Nice shoes. Any color is fine. Holiday colors are great!
Ladies: Nice pants or skirt with a nice top. Or a dress. Nice shoes. Any color is fine. Holiday colors are great! Ladies please be mindful of skirt and dress length, especially if you are sitting in the front row on stage.
NOTES FOR ALL: Santa hats are permitted if you have one and want to wear it. Please try to avoid jeans, t shirts and sneakers.
Students should be sure to keep an eye on the band room door and listen to the morning announcements to keep updated on the schedule. The entire week schedule will also be posted outside of the band room if any students need a reminder!
